Marriott Foundation

First of all, let me make it clear that I’m not posting this onto a blog because I think my life is so terribly interesting that everyone on the Internet is dying to read it. Jon disagrees with me on this idea. I have never understood the idea of a blog, to tell the truth. Why is it different than a website? Why would someone spend so much time writing in an online journal? If it was really a journal, I wouldn’t want others to read it. And that means I have to edit the contents somewhat.
Anyway, this is a trend that I don’t understand, yet I have been swept up into it. It’s one of life’s little conundrums.
Jon mentioned that I got a new job and I described it in a comment under “New Job.” People keep on asking me about my new position, so I thought I’d elaborate. I now work for the Marriott Foundation (for People with Disabilities) in a program called Bridges. Our aim is to help youth with disabilites to find meaningful employment by giving them vocational training, interview techniques, helping them with their resumes, and helping them to be professional. Since I was looking for a good job for a while, I might consider myself a professional jobseeker, which enables me to help others to be jobseekers.
