A Little Time For Reflection

Wow, the last couple days have been a whirlwind full of excitement and exhaustion.

After coming home around 5 pm today, I was full of gratitude from the wonderful friends and family we have surrounding us. With Rachael’s mom joining us for this week and her dad coming this weekend to take care of a few items on the house “honey-do” list, we are in good hands.

Thank you to all of you who sent flowers, gifts, and who have signed up for the Official Obermeyer Meals-on-Wheels program for us. Thank you for the many useful hand-me-downs that saved us on buying new stuff needlessly.

Thank you Sarah O. for being the best doula we could ask for and making Rachael’s labor an abbreviated 14 hours while putting up with the sometimes irritating affections of LoJack and SlimJim. Sarah is also responsible from the great pictures you see below of Isaac’s first few minutes ex-utero. Thanks for the cool hat to keep our little tike warm.

So thank you everyone who has posted here and will participate in even a small way in the life of our son.
