Happy New Year!

It has been a very eventful time over these past few weeks. We had a great trip to SLO where Isaac had many first experiences, notably being close to horses and playing the piano.

This is Isaac holding up an apple leaf he found unique among the many. I got on a little artsy spin and thought I would only show the color of the leaf and his shirt for emphasis. Thoughts?

I love that Isaac has Rachael’s great hair color.

We enjoyed meeting up with Rachael’s old friends.

We thought an “American Gothic” inspired piece might be nice.

Great friends. Every year they become more valuable.

I had my second annual 30th birthday party with some friends. Last year Rachael gave me a baby for my birthday, this year I got a yummy cupcake.

The day after my party, we went to spend the beautiful day at Manhattan Beach.

A beautiful sunset. Our new camera was able to close the aperture manually so I could get this sunset shot even thought it was terribly bright and this panoramic I thought was also stunning.

So, thanks to Rachael, Isaac and everyone else who made my birthday weekend special. I am glad to be alive another year and hope to make this next year even more filled with gratitude, generosity, and chutzpah!
